This is just a short post about the reward coupons I received together with my Smartbro billing statement.

My 1 year subscription will end next month, June 13, 2008 and I am still thinking whether to continue my subscription or subscribe to other broadband/DSL provider.

Bayan DSL and Globe Broadband are not available in our area, my only option is to get a PLDT DSL, unfortunately, our PLDT line was applied and named under my brother, who is now in the US. So, maybe I’ll stick with Smartbro for the meantime.

Been hearing about PayPerPost for quite some time now, and Yes I finally decided to join them.

I had started Techiegirl last July using a sub-domain under a free host. I went on with that setup for about two and a half months until I had encountered a problem with my free host.

When that host shutdown early September, I decided to move my blog to the next level, So last September 15, I registered my own domain name and subscribed to a hosting plan, thus http://techiegirl.info was born. All my post from my previous blog was imported to the new domain since it is just the continuation of what I had started there. But Definitely I had started from scratch again.

In One month and a week’s time, I managed to join several money making sites and opportunities that I wish to share with you.

I can’t discuss things like that here since it will be out of my niche so I had decided to create a separate page for that particular topic.

I was searching for any application that I can install on my O2 XDA Atom Pure when I chanced upon Avot Media’s website. What caught my attention was their product called Avot mV. It is a mobile solution that allows you to view internet videos right on your mobile phone. Isn’t that amazing?

Well, it’s really easy to download, you are given two options, either to download the application on your computer then install it on your mobile phone, or to go to Avot Mobile site to directly download and install the application on your phone.

The application is available only for Pocket PCs, SmartPhones and Samsung BlackJack running under windows mobile 5 and higher operating system. Support for other phones will be available soon according to them.

The download and installation time for Avot mV takes more or less 1 minute.

I was really excited upon knowing that Paypal now offers send and receive features for members having Philippines address. I immediately logged in to my account to verify if it’s true.., and yeah it’s really true!!!.

I just remembered the disappointment that i felt upon knowing that my earnings had been transferred to my Paypal account, only to discover that accounts from the Philippines can only do ’SEND’ transaction. Yeah! ok, my fault without reading further information about my Paypal account.

I asked my officemates if they know someone from the US who could help me with my concern. Sad to say, its not that easy to convince someone to verify his account with Paypal since it involves credit card or bank account.

Considering the headaches that I had last month with regards to this concern, its really great knowing that Paypal now offers the ’Receive’ feature, it really is a big help for us.

As I had posted before about giving this site a new look, here’s an almost final design of techiegirl.

I had changed the color scheme to somewhat alive and brighter combination, plus of course, who will not notice, the new banner!

On my previous post, i had mentioned about the banner contest that i had conducted last week, and I’m glad I finally got the banner design that i really love!

I can’t come up with a good banner design so I had decided to run a banner making contest at my host’s forum, and its about to end today 8/28/2007.

Basically the requirement is to match the banner design with this site’s theme and topic. Proper use of color is necessary to match the new color scheme since as you have noticed, i had made some few changes on the design, specifically the color.

Here are the submissions, some are already final, but since the contest is still running until 11:59pm GMT today, there might be some final work to be submitted later. (not in actual sizes)
