I went to Sim Lim square yesterday just to check out the Sony DSC T300 camera, the one that I am planning to buy. Well I stayed there for 2 and a half hours if my not mistaken lol! Sim Lim is like heaven for electronics lovers!

For those who are not familiar, Sim Lim Square is one, if not the largest electronics and computer center in Singapore!

The six-storey electronics plaza dazzles with rows and rows of gadgets, Stroll along the first two levels for consumer electronics like digital still cameras, digital camcorders, MD players, the newest plasma or LCD television screen, high-end sound systems and office equipment like fax machines. Professional needs are served here with very sophisticated cameras and recording equipment readily available.

The third to sixth levels are given to all-things IT. Tech-savvy locals throng the long corridors of computer shops with bargain-hunting tourists, searching for components, gadgetry games, repairs and software updates.

Laptops, palmtops, PDAs, webcams and other handy IT gadgets are immensely popular too, especially when these items hit our shores really fast. You can also have a computer assembled from scratch. Or you may be looking for storage solutions – zip drives, re-writeable CDs, diskettes, thumb drives, or even peripherals as mundane as cables!

About Us page - Sim Lim Square Website

The Sony DSC T300 camera costs just S$699, thats almost PHP12,000 lower than the price in the Philippines! plus some people I talked to said that I can get the products at a lower price. Tawaran ko lang daw!

Well I’m still checking on my budget, I hope to have that camera this coming June!!

Instead, I end up with a super mini Sound box, A pink mini speaker :) and a dress for my IPOD Touch! I got them for S$19.90 and S$14 respectively.

Next Destination? Funan Digitalife Mall!!!

I’ll update this post soon :)

How ’bout some pillows?

Sim Lim you have to be careful. I got duped for a Nikon D70 battery, they said the duplicate has 4800mAh. But it did not last as much as the old Nikon original battery. They are a racial lot… if you have dark skin they will call you an Indian… if you need reliable stuff with a fixed price tag go to .. Mohamad Mufthapa or there is another place in the adjoining place… all have good prices and not fluctuating prices like Sim Lim.They also do not like a person asking the price and would ask are you really going to buy. If you get racial abuse tell them that you would report to the authorities… the center was closed for two weeks some time back due to racial abuse of Indians.
