Sony Ericsson had recently announced several upcoming phones that we should watch for this upcoming year. One of these phones is the new Sony Ericsson W380i Walkman Phone. I really love fancy designs so I just can’t take my eyes off on this one.

This new addition to the Sony Ericsson WalkMan phone series features a unique design (woot woot) and packed with distinctive features, including a gesture control enabling users to mute a call with a wave of their hands.

Overview:

  • Instantly Identify a song recorded from the radio with its TrackID feature.
  • Control your Walkman® without even opening the phone with W380i’s One-touch buttons placed on the top of the phone. This allows you to track music information at a glance. Don’t worry when you touched these buttons by accident (when not in use), since the key lock is effective even in the outside.
  • Expandable memory that supports Memory Stick Micro™ and SanDisk microSD™
  • Mute the phone or snooze an alarm with the wave of your hand.
  • 1.3 Megapixel Camera with 4x zoom
  • Uses Bluetooth technology and supports Bluetooth stereo (A2DP)
  • Runs on GSM/EDGE/GPRS 850/1800/1900 and 900/1800/1900
  • FM radio RDS and a lot more

Aside from the ‘Electric Purple’ color, Sony Ericsson W380i is also available in ‘Magnetic Grey’. This phone is available in selected markets from Q1 2008.

Price: TBD
