Maybe you’re wondering why I’m posting it here hehe, this is a follow up article on my first post under the Laptop category. Yes my very own phoenix, my NEO Endura 531NLi Lappy.

I remember the time when i had decided to buy a laptop, it was really hard to choose which brand and specs to consider that would best fit my needs and my budget. I had asked the opinion of my colleagues and friends, at the same time had searched the internet for feedbacks and reviews. Sad to say there are only few sites that features products under the NEO brand. Not to mention, bad comments from my officemates, since it’s a stereotype that when a brand is not that popular or is new, it is always correlated to bad or poor performance.

Well that was then, and I guess today’s buyers doesn’t have to experience the same dilemma that i had.

Good thing T3 Magazine (The world’s No. 1 Gadget Magazine), features on their August Issue, a sort of buyer’s guide in buying a budget laptop. They reviewed 4 laptops from different brands that falls under their category:

What we looked for

A sub-40,000 price tag. Each Laptop’s ability to pack in features and performance power at this price point is what we were after. Extra features are big pluses.

  • BLUE Aurum NW - P39,999.00
  • ASUS A9RP - P30,000.00
  • RED FOX Duranote - P37,000.00
  • NEO Endura 531NLi - P35,999.00

Of course i’ll be focusing on the NEO Endura 531NLi lappy hehe

Here’s what T3 has to say:

NEO’s ENDURA 531NLi can be, at most, called fair. But if you’re a pessimist and pretty strict on finding the right Vista-equipped laptop, then the 531NLi is your best option at this price range.

I am excited to type the whole thing from the magazine, but i guess you better buy your own copy haha. To sum it up 531NLi is tagged as the T3 Test Winner, and got a 5-star rating (highest).

WE SAY Not the best in any aspect except for the value it offers. It does Vista, too.

T3 Test Winner

Amazing value for something worth less than 40 grand. Neo is the Messiah of the computing world yet again.

Not bad huh!. I guess Jackie (she bought same brand and model) and I made the right choice.

Hello everyone!

I am using the same kind of laptop and I can say so far so good. I have been using it for 4 months now and it never failed me. One little concern though, has anyone of you experienced heating in the left side of the mouse panel (not sure what it is called), just below the keyboard? My left hand feels quite hot (well still tolerable) after using my laptop. The CPU is probably located there but a little nuisance when I use for extended hours.

I hope mine is not busted. :D hahaha
